General Questions
How does Art Forge differ from other tutorial platforms?
Art Forge is crowdfunded, meaning you back campaigns before content is created. This gives you better prices during the campaign period and directly supports artists in creating the content they want to make.
How long are the tutorials?
All Art Forge tutorials are minimum 45 minutes long, with many exceeding 60-90 minutes. Exact length varies by campaign and is listed on the campaign page.
Are the tutorials suitable for beginners?
It varies by campaign. Each artist specifies the skill level required. Look for "Beginner Friendly" tags or check the campaign description for prerequisites.
What software do I need?
Required software is listed on each campaign page. Common software includes Photoshop, Blender, Maya, Clip Studio Paint, or similar professional tools.
How do I contact the artist with questions?
Each campaign page includes a comment section where you can ask questions. Artists typically respond within 24-48 hours.
Campaign Questions
What if the campaign doesn't reach its funding goal?
If a campaign doesn't reach its funding goal by the deadline, you are not charged and no payment is processed.
What happens when a campaign reaches its goal?
Great news! When a campaign reaches its funding goal, it stays open for an extra 7 days. This gives more people a chance to back at campaign prices and helps artists maximize their support.
When do I get access to the content I backed?
Content is delivered 4-6 weeks after successful campaign funding. The artist needs time to create, edit, and upload the materials. You'll receive email notifications when content is available.
Content Access
Can I watch content on my phone or tablet?
Yes! All streaming content is mobile-optimized and works on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Just log in to your account from any device.
What's the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?
Tier 2: Everything in Tier 1 PLUS downloadable project files and source files (PSD, Blender, etc.) for hands-on practice. Videos remain streaming-only for all tiers.
Is the content really lifetime access?
Yes! Once you purchase, you have unlimited streaming access forever on both Art Forge and IAMAG Master Classes Platform. No subscriptions, no recurring fees. If you purchase Tier 2, you can also download project files for permanent offline use.
Can I share my account with friends?
Account sharing is not permitted per our Terms of Service. Each person should purchase their own access to support the artist.
What if I can't access the content after purchase?
Contact our support team at support@iamag.co immediately. We'll troubleshoot the issue and restore your access. Technical problems are always resolved.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the digital nature of content, refunds are only offered if technical issues prevent access and cannot be resolved. Refund requests must be made within 14 days of content delivery.
Can I download Tier 1 content?
No, all videos are streaming-only for both tiers. If you want downloadable project files and source materials (PSD, Blender files, assets), choose Tier 2. Videos themselves are never downloadable to protect artist intellectual property.
Will I get updates if the artist adds more content?
If an artist updates their Art Forge with additional content, all backers receive access to updates at no additional cost.
Technical Questions
What browsers are supported?
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest versions). Mobile browsers on iOS and Android also supported.
Do I need fast internet?
Recommended minimum: 5 Mbps for streaming. Videos automatically adjust quality based on your connection speed.
Can I watch offline?
Videos require an internet connection for streaming. However, Tier 2 backers can download project files and source materials for offline use. Videos are streaming-only to protect artist intellectual property.
What video quality is available?
All content is delivered in 1080p HD minimum. Videos stream at the highest quality your connection supports, with automatic quality adjustment.
Are subtitles available?
Subtitles depend on the individual artist. Check the campaign page for subtitle availability.
Can I cast to my TV?
Yes, you can cast from Chrome browser or mobile apps to Chromecast-enabled devices.
What file sizes are the downloads?
• Source files (PSD, Blender, etc.): Varies widely (100 MB to 2+ GB)
• Asset packs: 50 MB to 5+ GB depending on content
Note: Videos are not downloadable - they stream at optimized quality for your connection speed.
Do downloads expire?
No, project file download links (Tier 2) remain active forever. You can re-download your project files anytime. Video streaming access is also lifetime.
Account & Security
Is my payment information secure?
Yes, all payments processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your credit card details on our servers.
Can I change my email address?
Yes, update your email in account settings. You'll receive a verification email to confirm the change.
What if I forget my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. We'll send a reset link to your registered email.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, but you'll lose access to purchased content. We recommend keeping your account active to maintain your lifetime access to tutorials.
Is my personal information shared with artists?
No, artists only see anonymized backer statistics. Your email and personal details remain private unless you choose to comment publicly on campaigns.
Payment & Billing
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and debit cards via Stripe. PayPal not currently supported.
Why was I charged immediately?
Charges only process if the campaign reaches its funding goal. The initial transaction is an authorization that only completes upon successful funding.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes, invoices are automatically emailed after purchase. You can also download from your account dashboard.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, the price you see is the price you pay. No surprise charges or subscription fees.
Do you accept international payments?
Yes, we accept international credit cards. Currency is displayed in USD, and your bank handles conversion at their rates.
What if my card is declined?
Contact your bank - most declines are due to international transaction blocks or insufficient funds. Try a different card or contact our support team.
Campaign Setup
What's the minimum funding goal?
The minimum funding goal is $500. This ensures you're adequately compensated for creating professional tutorial content. You also set your own tier prices ($15/$25 are recommended starting points).
Can I update my pricing after launch?
No, campaign pricing is locked when you launch. Post-campaign pricing can be adjusted. Choose your tiers carefully - we recommend $15/$25 for campaign pricing and $20/$30 for post-campaign, but you have flexibility to set your own prices based on your content value.
What happens if I don't reach my funding goal?
If your campaign doesn't meet its goal by the deadline, it's not funded and you're not obligated to create the content. No payments are processed and no money changes hands.
What happens when I reach my funding goal?
Congratulations! Your campaign stays open for an extra 7 days after reaching the goal. This bonus period allows you to gain more backers and increase your revenue. IAMAG promotes successful campaigns to our 700K+ member community during this period.
Can I run multiple campaigns at once?
We recommend focusing on one campaign at a time to ensure quality. You can launch a new campaign once your current one is completed and delivered.
Can I cancel a campaign after it's funded?
Once funded, you're committed to delivering the content. Cancellation requires refunding all backers and results in account penalties.
Should I choose exclusive or non-exclusive?
Non-Exclusive (55% revenue share): You can sell elsewhere. Good if you have other platforms.
Most artists choose exclusive for the better revenue share.
Can I offer discount codes to my followers?
The campaign pricing is already discounted. All backers during the campaign period receive the same lower price automatically, plus the benefit of the 7-day extension period.
Can I collaborate with other artists?
Currently, campaigns are individual artist accounts. For collaborations, designate one primary creator who manages the campaign and splits revenue privately.
Content Creation
How long should my tutorial be?
Minimum 45 minutes of content. Most successful Art Forge campaigns are 60-120 minutes. Quality matters more than length - focus on teaching valuable techniques thoroughly.
What equipment do I need?
• Screen recording software (OBS Studio is free)
• Decent microphone for clear audio
• Your usual art software
• Method to record your commentary
Do I need professional video editing skills?
Basic editing is sufficient. You should be able to trim footage, add simple transitions, and sync audio. Focus on clear teaching rather than Hollywood production.
What file formats do you accept?
Source Files (Tier 2): PSD, AI, Blender, Maya, Max, C4D, etc. - these ARE downloadable
Assets (Tier 2): ZIP files containing textures, brushes, references - these ARE downloadable
How do I upload large files?
Videos are uploaded to Google Drive for review, then transferred to our streaming platform (Mux) after approval. Source files for Tier 2 are uploaded directly to our system.
Approval & Payment
How long does the approval process take?
3-5 business days after you submit your content. We review for quality standards, technical issues, and ensure it matches your campaign promises.
What if my content is rejected?
We'll provide specific feedback on what needs improvement. You can revise and resubmit. Rejections are rare and usually due to technical issues (poor audio, file corruption) rather than teaching quality.
When do I get paid?
Payment is processed within 7 business days after your content is approved and delivered to backers. You receive your revenue share (80% during campaign) via your chosen payout method.
Platform Policies
Do I need a portfolio to start?
Yes, a strong portfolio helps sell your campaign. Backers want to see your skill level before committing. Include your best work in your artist profile and campaign preview.
